SJES Closure Policy: St. John School will follow Fauquier County Schools' inclement weather policy for the first two days. On the third day, St. John School will make its own decision and parents will be notified by the phone messenger system.
SCHOOL SICK POLICY
Please assist us in the effort to prevent the spread of the flu by helping your child follow these CDC guidelines:
- If your child is experiencing influenza-like symptoms (fever with a cough or sore throat) please contact your doctor. Please do not send your child to school.
- If your child has these symptoms, please keep him or her out of school for at least seven days, even if symptoms resolve sooner. If he or she is still sick after the seven day period, remain at home for at least twenty four hours after all symptoms have resolved.
- If your child has symptoms, he or she should not be out in the community except to seek medical care.
- Please remind your child of the importance of covering your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing.
