About the Hunter Library: The St. John the Evangelist Library was named the Hunter Library in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hunter, generous benefactors of the school. The library houses about 10,000 books, magazines and audio-visual materials. Located in the middle of the school, it is used by students and staff on a daily basis. Students come into the library once a week for library information and skills classes. Lessons are based upon Diocesan Curriculum Guidelines. The library is known for its friendly, helpful services to students, teachers and staff. Students are encouraged to check out books anytime, but especially during their once a week class. A read a-loud program is in place for all library classes.
